Admissions
St Agatha’s Catholic Primary School is a school situated at the north end of Kingston Upon Thames and near to Richmond Park in the Archdiocese of Southwark. The school provides an education for mainly, but not exclusively, Catholic children aged 3+ to 11 years.
Approximately 32% of our pupils are non-Catholic, with backgrounds of either no faith or other world religions.
There are two main separate points for admissions, for Nursery at 3+ and then for Reception at 4+. Where parents are looking for mid year placements in any other classes we are able to offer these where class sizes are less than 30. A place in the Nursery does not guarantee a place in Reception and families have to apply separately for a Reception place.
We are happy to answer any queries that you may have about admission to St Agatha's. Please contact Sharon Parsons on 020 8546 3879 or email office@stagathas.school |

"A multicultural environment with strong pastoral care. It is great that we have a breadth of backgrounds and nationalities at the school and everyone is made to feel welcome."
"My four children have all attended St Agatha's from Nursery onwards. We have always been delighted with the school - consistently high standards of teaching and behaviour, and a strong ethos and values encouraging the children to help each other and to be conscious of issues outside their immediate community. The teaching staff is warm and caring and know the children well, led by a great leadership team who know every single child in the school. The children are stimulated with a varied and exciting curriculum, go on interesting and relevant school trips and have annual events such as International Day, There is a wonderful variety of extra-curricular activities. Our children are very happy at St Agatha's and the school is getting the very best out of them both academically and personally."
"We are extremely grateful for all the support our children are getting at St Agatha’s school. We love the ethos of the school, loving and caring environment and all the values that are being promoted in the school.’"
"Pastoral care of the school has been fantastic for our family. Every child appears to be so well known as an individual by the whole school team. There is so much enrichment despite the problems with school funding and staff are so enthusiastic about activities over and above the basic curriculum and definitely do not just teach to the test, which I love. The leadership is very present. The behaviour standards appear to be very good."
"St Agatha’s could not have been a better school for both my children. Teachers and Head Teacher are really helpfully and caring. Thank you."
St Agatha's was ranked 184 in the Top 250 State Primary Schools in England, featured in the Sunday Times, out of over 16,000 primary schools across England. "Schools are ranked by the aggregated average scaled scores achieved by children in reading, grammar and maths from SATs . Where scores are tied, the number of pupils achieving these results is used as a separator" November 2020 - The Sunday Times List |
