The Feast of St Cecilia

We celebrated our class saint, Saint Cecelia, learning that she lived a long time ago in Italy. We greeted each other in Latin, saying ’Salve’ and we prayed the Sign of the Cross in Latin, like St Cecilia would have done.

St Cecilia loved God and she loved music. We made some musical instruments and then played them together as we sang ‘Hosanna’ and ‘Thank you Lord for this Fine Day’.
